Denton County Scholarships

Thank you for your interest in the 2023 Denton County A&M Club Scholarship Program!  The Denton County A&M Club funds scholarships annually through contributions, membership dues, and fund-raisers.  Our scholarship program is the centerpiece of what the Club provides to the community and our support of Texas A&M University.  Each year, we support a group of distinguished young individuals that are committed to attend Texas A&M and represent the best and brightest from Denton County through financial scholarships.

DCAMC 2023 Scholarship Application

It has been brought to our attention that some students are having difficulty accessing the application on a school-issued device. If you are using a school-issued device, please log out of your school district provided email and login using your home non-school district email. It is also recommended that you use wifi at home, if you can. If you continue to experience trouble accessing the application, please email for an alternative application format. 

2023 Qualifications

Complete instructions and qualifications are enumerated in the Scholarship Application package available from this page.  At a high level, a candidate must:

  • Be an incoming freshman

  • Live within or parents live in Denton County  

  • Graduate of a Denton County High School

  • Have been ACCEPTED to Texas A&M University College Station for the upcoming fall semester

  • Complete and submit the application by the deadline mentioned on the application.

2023 Application Deadlines

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM (CST) on March 19th, 2023

  – Applications are now OPEN.  Applicants should be sure to read the introduction carefully and follow all application instructions. 

2023 Criteria for Selection

In considering awarding the scholarship, we weight your application as follows:

  • Financial need
  • High school grades and college entrance exam scores
  • Extracurricular activities, community involvement, and work experience
  • Essays and a letter of recommendation from principal, teacher, or community leader
2023 Scholarship Award

Winners will be determined without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin or educationally unrelated handicaps. Each recipient will receive a one time $1,500 award in their incoming Fall Semester.
